Description
Engaging students and school communities is essential for a successful school food program. You will learn how to develop a strong brand that communicates your department’s vision and values, and discover how to target key stakeholders, including students, food service staff, administrators, parents, and community members. You’ll learn how to use specific marketing and education tactics to effectively communicate the mission by developing a comprehensive, yearlong calendar and planning engaging lunchroom education events. We will explore how to identify community partnership and sponsorship opportunities to further enhance your outreach and achieve program goals. By the end of this course, you will be equipped to confidently market your program, build excitement, and increase participation in school meals.
Prerequisites
New users must also register or have previously taken the Introduction to School Food Institute.
